Grown by Cooperativa Liebig which was formed at the end of the 19th century by German, Polish and Ukranian immigrants who sought peace and work in Argentina that they were unable to find in their countries of origin. Today it is made up of 130 associated agricultural producers focusing on the production of honey, livestock and, of course, mate.
