VIETRIs signature holiday collection is created from maestro artisan Alessandro Taddeis childhood memories of stories his mother used to read to him about Babbo Natale, Italys Santa Claus. Alessandro relays the stories through his whimsical designs, providing us a glimpse into Old St. Nicks daily adventures leading up to preparations for each holiday season.

• Dishwasher Safe – We recommend using a non-fragrant/non-citrus, non-abrasive detergent on the air dry cycle (or econo heat when available). It is recommended to place the dishes so they avoid touching during the high pressure dishwashing and as such we recommend you do not overload the dishwasher. All dishes should be dried thoroughly before being stored.
• Terra Bianca – A white earthenware clay that is often used for handpainted designs as it provides the ideal canvas for storytelling, allowing colors to truly come to life.
• Artist Alessandro Taddei: Alessandro was born in Empoli, Italy in 1960. He began his work in ceramics over 30 years ago, learning from local craftsmen throughout Tuscany while attending the Montelupo School for Ceramics. He has worked next to some of the best ceramic maestros in the world, learning the many secrets that are essential to mastering the art of ceramics. Throughout the years, Alessandro has had the opportunity to design for some of the best retailers and importers throughout the world, including VIETRI. He loves art, traveling, and photography, and has won a number of national awards for his paintings and photos. With ease and artistic passion, Alessandro makes the white clay surface his canvas.
